Pucca houses to over 22 lakh families in rural areas
Bhopal: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav has said that the target to provide houses to every needy person will be met by Year 2022. Pucca houses have been made available to more than 22 lakh needy families in the rural areas of the state so far. More than 7 lakh 9 thousand houses have been entrusted to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), who are the most in the country.
Panchayat Minister Bhargav told that houses have been made available to 15 lakh 3 thousand 694 beneficiaries till March 31, 2018 through Mukhya Mantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Mission and Indira Awas Yojana before the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) from April 1, 2016. Apart from this, 7 lakh 9 thousand 248 houses have been completed till June 30, 2018 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and have been entrusted to the beneficiaries.
