Directives issued for Swachcha Vidyalaya Abhiyan

Bhopal: According to the concept of Swachcha Bharat, works have been started in the Government schools by preparing an action plan under the Swachcha Vidyalaya Abhiyan in the state. Directives have been issued by the State Education Centre to all the District Collectors in this regard. As per the action plan all the works will be completed till October 2, 2019.
It has been said in the directives that separate toilets should be constructed and maintained for girls and boys in all the government schools. Regular cleaning of toilets should be ensured. Moreover, provision has been made in the amount of stamp fee of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department for repairs of toilets. Separate amount has been given for sanitation arrangements to each school in the rural areas.
Moreover, it has been mentioned in the directives to seek cooperation from the Public Health Engineering Department for arrangement of minimum one potable water resource in the government schools and purity of potable water should be checked regularly. Students should be told to wash their hands before the mid day meals essentially in the schools. This habit should be developed among the children. In order to make children understand the importance of sanitation, messages with display should be inscribed on walls. Concrete arrangements should be made for drainage. Moreover, arrangement for water conservation should also be made in the school campuses.
Furthermore, Collectors have been told that plantation should be undertaken in each government school necessarily under the Hariyali Abhiyan. The District Education Officers have been told for regular monitoring of these works along with the field staff of the School Education Department.-Window To News
