Cabinet approves Transit Oriented Development Policy-2018

Bhopal: The Cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today has approved Transit Oriented Development Policy-2018 of the Urban Development and Housing Department.
In order to solve problems of cities of the state related to increasing pressure of urbanization and transport, the decision has been taken to prepare a State level TOD Policy. Under the Policy, problems emerging from the urbanization and transport will be solved through this policy to encourage smart development in urban areas.
Moreover, the TOD Policy will also play an important role to improve effectiveness and condition of public transport for better connectivity between the residing and office place of the citizens.-Window To News
