‘Ek Parisar-Ek Shala’ Yojana to improve education quality in Government Schools

Number of integrated schools to become 20,656 after combining 45,384 Govt. Schools
Bhopal: In order to bring improvement in education quality in the government schools of the state and for better utilisation of the available resources, the ‘Ek Parisar Ek Shala’ Yojana has been implemented in the state.
In compliance to the directives of the Union Government, action is being initiated to integrate Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. As a result, complete integrated school will be set up by abolishing variance in government schools of primary and higher secondary level. Under this, the separate schools being run for Class 1 to 12th will be run in the form of single school.
Physical verification of all government schools functional in the single premises in Madhya Pradesh has been conducted by the field officers of the School Education Department on the basis of GIS mapping. On this basis, the total number of integrated schools will become 20 thousand 656 after combining the 45 thousand 384 government schools currently functional in the state. Fifteen thousand 342 schools from primary up to higher secondary level, 1868 schools from primary up to high school level and 934 schools from primary to class 12th will function as integrated schools.
