NITI Aayog Member Dr. Paul praise for MP’s development works
Bhopal: A seminar on “Vikas ke liye Samvad: Shodh Adhyayan aur Niti Nirdharan ke Madhya Setu” was organized at the Academy of Administration today by the Public Health and Family Welfare Department. Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh presided over the seminar in which Government of India’s NITI Aayog Member Dr. Vinod Paul was the chief guest.
Director General of Academy of Administration Smt. Kanchan Jain, Principal Secretary Ashok Vernawal, Commissioner, Health, Smt. Pallavi Jain, Commissioner, Mandi Board Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Director, Health Dhanaraju, Director National Health Mission S. Vishwanathan were also present.
Dr. Vinod Paul praised the development works undertaken in Madhya Pradesh. He said that Madhya Pradesh is paving the way for progressive development. He said that the facts obtained from various studies and surveys should be used for policy fixation and implementation more effectively.
Chief Secretary B.P. Singh said that sensitive administration is the first priority for the development works of the state government. Efforts to fulfill the demands and needs of the people have been the motive of the policies. Social and economic works are being undertaken through people’s participation and public support.
Commissioner, Health Smt. Pallavi Jain said that there is constant improvement in the development index of Madhya Pradesh. The innovations in the state are giving expected results. Various developmental studies have a major contribution in policy making.
Two research study papers were presented in the programme. Dr. Bhanu Murthy and Dr. D.K Pal presented papers on ‘Public Expenditure Administration and Human Development in Madhya Pradesh’ and ‘Human Rights-based Study of Maternal Mortality Rate in three districts of Madhya Pradesh’ respectively.-Window To News
