Distribution of Incentive amount for Moong and Urad crops among registered farmers

Farmers Welfare Department issues directives to Collectors
Bhopal: A scheme has been prepared in connection to give incentive amount to the registered farmers of the state for summer moong and urad crops. Directives have been issued by the Farmer Welfare Department to the Collectors in this regard.
Registration work has been undertaken by the Primary Credit Cooperative Societies in 12 districts i.e. Hoshnagabad, Sehore, Raisen, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Harda, Vidisha, Guna, Dewas, Idore, Dhar and Balaghat with over 2000 hectare summer moong production area. Similarly, farmers’registration work has been carried out by the Primary Credit Cooperative Societies in eight districts Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Balaghat, katni, Dindori, Seoni, Damoh and Harda, where summer urad has been produced in over one thousand hectare area.
The farmer wise data of summer moong and urad producer registered farmers of the concerned districts will be provided to the Director Farmer Welfare after verification and certification at district level by the Revenue Department. The selling quantity in mandis between the last July 4 and August 20 of 12 registered districts for moong and 8 districts for urad will be uploaded on the portal. An incentive amount of Rs. 800 per quintal will be payable for summer moong. The incentive amount for summer urad will be decided by the state government on the basis of model mandi rate of the month July-2018.
The average productivity for summer moong has been fixed as 12 quintal per hectare whereas 14 quintal per hectare average productivity has been decided for summer urad. Norms have been decided to determine eligibility of the registered farmers. Mainly domicile of Madhya Pradesh is must in this. The benefit of the scheme will be payable on sale of summer moong and urad produced in the state and sold in the notified mandis’ premises of districts. It is essential for the concerned farmers to provide registration slip and copy of Aadhaar card to mandi committee at the time of selling after the registration on the portal.
Selling activity of the concerned crops will be recorded by CCTV Cameras in the notified premises. Farmers’ photo with crop will be clicked by the mandi committee at the time of sale in those mandi premises which do not possess CCTV camera facility and the record will be kept secured in mandi.
Committees under the chairmanship of Collector have been constituted to implement the scheme. Deputy Director, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Department has been made secretary of the committee. Chief Executive Officer of Jila Panchayat, Additional Collector Revenue, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, District Food Officer, Chief Executive officer of District Cooperative Bank, District Manager Civil Supplies Corporation, District Manager State Cooperative Marketing Federation and District Lead Bank Officer have been included as members of the committee.
