Patients may face trouble
AUG 09 (WTN) - PG and interns students of three government Ayurvedic colleges of Madhya Pradesh, including Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurveda College of Bhopal, are going on Indefinite strike from today onward. Patients admitted in ward and OPD may face problems with this.
Ayurveda PG students are demanding to increase their stipend. PG students say that in the first, second and third years, they are getting 21 thousand rupees, 22 thousand rupees and 23 thousand rupees respectively. In the medical college, the same stipend is Rs 56 thousand, 58 thousand and 59 thousand rupees respectively.
Students say that in other states, there is better stipend in Ayurveda colleges. At the same time, students of both medical colleges and Ayurveda colleges in Madhya Pradesh doing same work, so what are the reasons that stipend of Ayurveda College students is less than medical college. PG and intern students are going on a non-stop strike in Ayurveda College for these demands.
