Narmada Seva Yatra starts on 39th day from Nanpa

Bhopal : On the 39th day, Namami Devi Narmade - Seva Yatra was started from Nanpa village of Dolriya tehsil of Hoshangabad district today. With enthusiasm in villages for welcoming Narmade Seva Yatra, what is seen different here is that villagers believe that they need Narmada Ji but Narmada river should be pollution-free is concern of the government. They felt their duty after government's initiative.
Village people accorded heartily welcome to Narmada Seva Yatra at Nanpa by installing welcome gate and reciting Bhajans and showering flowers. Narmada Sabha was organised on the occasion. Narmada saint of West Bengal, Hoshangabad Janpad president, Sarpanch and many others shed light on the origin of Narmada , its economic and spiritual importance to public. People took resolution for plantation and making Narmada river clean.
Rural people said that Narmada Ji is providing drinking and irrigation facility. We are not performing our responsibility in maintaining cleanliness in river and its conservation. They described the initiative of the government and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for Narmada Seva Yatra as unprecedented and said that the campaign will not only give new life to them but to next generation. Villagers welcome the Chief Minister Chouhan's decision that liquor shops would be closed in five km area from Narmada river. Village people took resolution for doing defection in open on the banks of the river. Chairman of Gau-Palan Board Shiv Chobey and Sadhvi Pragya Bharti participated in Narmada Seva Yatra from Nanpa.-WTN
