Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroh at Maihar

   
Bhopal : Prestigious Alauddin Khan Sangeet Samaroh is being organised from 19 to January 21 at Maihar district Satna. Samaroh will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Famous Cine Artist and Member of Parliament  Hema Malini will present dance-drama ‘Mahalaxmi’ on the concluding day of the samaroh. Exhibition of Rahul Rastogi focussing life and accomplishments of Ustad Alauddin Khan will be organised during the Samaroh.
 
The musical evening of Ustad Alauddin Khan Samaroh linked to the sentiments and belief of the citizens will be inaugurated everyday with Vrind Vadan of Maihar Band. All the houses of Maihar city will be decorated and illuminated this year during the samaroh and the city will be decorated with colour bulbs series for three days.
 
On the first day of the samaroh i.e. January 19, Odissi group dance by Odissi Research Foundation of Guru Pankaj Charan will be presented followed by Mandolin play by gato Bhaduri-Kolkata and recital of  Chhannulal Mishra of Varanasi. On the second day, presentations by the local artists like recital by Akansha Tiwari, Sitar play by Manoj Kumar Jaiswal, Recital by Aman Jain and Kathak dance by Priti Singh will be held followed by recital of Purvi Nimgaonkar, Sarod duet of Siraj Ali Khan and Ashish Mukhopadhayay of Kolkata, Mohini Attam by Saji M. of Bhopal, Kucchipudi, group Bharatnatyam and Sitar play of Shubhendra Rao of New Delhi. -WTN
