News of cancellation of recognition of 1500 private schools in state is misleading

Commissioner, Public Instruction gives clarification
Bhopal: A new-itemrelated to cancellation of recognition of non-government schools on the statement of Regional President of Non-Government Schools Ajit Singh was published in several newspapers sometime back. In this regard, the Commissioner of Public Instruction has clarified that the news-item is misleading.
Directorate of Public Instruction has clarified that neither any organization of non-government schools has been given recognition nor any organization named Private Schools Organisation has been registered. Commissioner Public Instruction has made clear that all actions related to recognition and renewal of private schools, have been taken as per rule.
As many as 2461 cases have been received for new recognition and recognition renewal in academic session year 2018-19. In these cases, decision was taken after scrutiny by the Divisional Joint Director, School Education Department. Out of the cases received, 820 cases have been declared invalid by the Divisional Joint Director. Out of these, First Appeal was obtained in 764 cases. Commissioner Public Instruction declared 457 cases valid and 307 were declared invalid due to shortcomings.
As many as 307 cases related to recognition of private schools were declared invalid. Of these, Second Appeal was received in 270 cases. The recognition committee declared 43 appeal cases valid. Appeals were declared invalid in the remaining 161 cases of renewal and 66 new cases. Thus, only 227 of the total 2461 cases have been declared invalid due to shortcomings. This is only 10 percent of the total number of cases.
A proposal for a new programme for presentation of documents by the institutions in renewal cases for fulfilling shortcomings is under consideration.-Window To News
