Madhya Pradesh first state to create ‘Geo-rich software’ in the country
Bhopal: The Geo-Rich software for online processing of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana tenders to payment in accordance with the World Bank conditions is ready. This will be the country’s first software prepared by Senior Technical Director of Madhya Pradesh NIC Vivek Chitle and his team in which the entire process of road construction will be online. The software manual will be dedicated on August 27 at Hotel Courtyard Marriott by Additional Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh. The World Bank officers’ team will also be present.
Chief Executive Officer of Madhya Pradesh Rural Development Authority Nitesh Vyas said that the Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was started for those who were not coming within the purview of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak project, to connect them to the (Barahmasi) perennial roads. The responsibility of asphaltation of about 10 thousand kilometers of roads made under the Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak yojana has been entrusted to the Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority.
A loan agreement of Rs 2 thousand 275 crores was signed between Madhya Pradesh Government, World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Development Bank in April 2018 for the construction and maintenance of these roads. As per the agreement, the State government was required to develop an online system for continuous monitoring and quality control of the entire tender-to-payment process.
It may be noted that an e-marg software has been already been implemented for the maintenance of Pradhan Mantri roads in Madhya Pradesh earlier, which is being implemented by the Union Ministry of Rural Development all over the country.-Window To News
