Resident Commissioner inaugurates Mrignayani Exhibition at Delhi

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Resident Commissioner Ashish Shrivastava today inaugurated Mriganayani Exhibition-2018 at Aga Khan Hall on Bhagwandas Road at New Delhi. This exhibition will remain open for visitors till September 10.
This exhibition has been organised by Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Hastashilp Evam Hathkargha Vikas Nigam Limited in which arts and crafts of 50 artisans and weavers are being displayed. The main attractions of the exhibition are the sarees with the designs of Pakeezah fame Meena Kumari’s dupattas, Chanderi sarees and suits of 1930s brought from Dhaka, famous Maheshwari suits and sarees of Ahilyabai Holkar Nagari, world famous Bagh print suits and sarees apart from mulberry, crepe, chiffon and cotton suits, sarees, dress material and bed covers. The Corporation is offering 20 percent discount on all products to its customers.
The Handloom Development Corporation endeavours to provide employment to artisans from rural and semi-urban areas and to expand creative cultural heritage. The Corporation is committed to conserve and promote the crafts heritage of the state apart from making the craftsmen financially independent by offering employment through small capital and planning.-Window To News
