Youths must channelise their energy into power. State Election Commissioner Shri R. Parshuram said this during the debate competition and Nukkad Natak (Street Play) held at Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Bhopal today. The debate competition was held on the subject ‘Is Sadan Ki Rai Mein Sthaniya Shasan Pratinidhi Loktantra Ko Sahbhagi Loktantra Mein Badalne Ka Sashakt Madhyam Hai’.

Parshuram said that all the students must include their names in the voter list and must vote. He said that urban bodies and panchayats are the powerful medium for decentralisation of power. Secretary Election Commission Smt. Sunita Tripathi informed about the working system of the State Election Commission.

Isha Shastri bagged first position in the debate competition whereas second and third position was bagged by  Akshit Devansh and Ku. Kainat Hussain respectively. Factual and excitatory views were expressed in the debate competition by  Yash Dixit, Ku. Yashasvi Sharma,  Palash Tiwari,  Aditya Sharma,  Shivam Chandak, Ku. Gouri, Ku. Suman Rais, Ku. Anusha and Ku. Siddhi Kourav. Students have attracted attention of audience on importance and drawbacks of local governance. Speciality of the competition was that all the orators raised their views with facts dauntlessly.

Nukkad Natak (Street Play) was played on the subject ‘Sthaniya Shasan Tabhi Kargar Aur Prabhavi Hoga Jabki Aam Nagrik Shikshit, Imaandaar Aur Nirvachan Prakriya Mein Sahbhagi Hoga’. Students appealed through the nukkad natak to elect candidate on the basis of qualifications in place of caste, religion, money or power.

State Election Commissioner  R. Parshuram distributed certificates to the participants of debate competition and nukkad natak. Views were also expressed by the Director of the Institute Dr. M. L. Nath. Officers of State Election Commission, Faculty Members and students were present on the occasion.
