Villagers Undertaking Plantation and Making Narmada Pollution Free
Namami Devi Narmade Became Slogan for Greetings
Narmada Seva Yatra is transforming into public movement with the immense participation of people. Last three days of yatra presented such scene. It is success of the yatra that on one hand villagers greet yatris with the slogan of Namami Devi Narmade on the other hand educated people are pronouncing ‘Twadiya Paad Pankajam Namami Devi Narmade’.
Yatra which has got enormous support from the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is praise worthy. A big change was witnessed during the yatra that the society has come forward for de-addiction. Scene of Aawli ghat gave direction to the villagers in which youths of Keer Community took pledge before the Narmada Maiyya to make their community free from addiction in the entire state. They said that they will conduct a tour of the entire state and will encourage members of the community to quit addiction as per the intention of the Chief Minister Chouhan.
The second picture was also clear. Nine farmers suddenly came on the dais and said that they will plant 2365 saplings on their 9 hectare land to please Maa Narmada. They further said that they are considering to construct kunds on their land too. This serious initiative of the villagers will definitely make Narmada River free of pollution and fulfill the intention of the Chief Minister.
Urge of Sadhvi Pragya Bharti and other Sadhu-Sants who are accompanying the yatra towards not to dispose off flowers, garlands, poojan material and aarti pot is also started giving results. Villagers are of the opinion now that when sadhu-sants are saying that Narmada Maiyya will become desecrated so they are correct. They are taking pledge now not to immerse such material in the River Narmada.
It is also seen that the Narmada yatris and villagers were removing the poojan material and flowers from the current of Narmada river and putting them in their bags. In real sense people are now moving from squalor to adoration.
