Targets to be set for better school examination results

Commissioner Public Instruction instructs education officials
Bhopal: Commissioner Public Instruction Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat has issued instructions to education officials and Principals to set targets for increase in the examination results of government schools by September 30. These targets will be determined separately for Excellence, Model and other schools.
The Principals has been told to assess the current situation on the basis of marks by the students admitted in the classes in their previous class and in the quarterly exams. Make sure to register the set targets on the School of Education Department's Vimarsh portal. The District Education Officer has been instructed to monitor according to the targets set by the schools.
Disciplinary action will be taken if the set target is not met as per the notification issued by the Commissioner's Office. In case of shortfall between 11 to 20 percent in the examination result, from the set target, one salary hike of the concerned teacher will be withheld and in case of a shortfall from 21 to 40 percent, two salary hikes of the concerned teacher will be stopped with cumulative effect. Schools with more than 40 percent decline in results will have to face a departmental probe apart from strong disciplinary action.-Window To News
