Over 2.79 lakh women benefitted from Mukhya Mantri Kalyani Yojana

Bhopal: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav said that the state government will provide Rs 2 lakh incentive to promote widow re-marriage in the state. This amount will be provided under Mukhya Mantri Kalyani Sahayata Yojana. As many as 2 lakh 79 thousand 680 women have so far been provided different types of assistance.
Minister Bhargav told that the Mukhya Mantri Kalyani Sahayata Yojana is an important step taken in the field of women empowerment in state by the state government. Under this scheme, widows (kalyani) between 18 and 79 years are being provided a monthly pension of Rs 300 and Rs 500 per month on completion of 79 years.
