Governor Patel reviews progress of Central schemes in Dhar
Bhopal: Governor Anandiben Patel has issued directives to officials in Dhar district that they must ensure that benefits of the Central Government’ schemes should be given to needy persons on time so that desired transformation comes in the life of the common man. The Governor was reviewing the progress of the schemes in a joint meeting of District Officers and NGOs in Dhar on Tuesday.
Governor Patel told NGOs and officials that they should come forward to adopt patients of TB under national tuberculosis control programme. She also administered resolution to make India tuberculosis free. Progress of Pradhanmatri Ujjawala Yojana was reviewed in the meeting. Collector, Dhar informed that Dhar district has been second in the state in execution of Pradhanmantri Ujjawala Yojana. Dhar is on the first place in Indore division.
Reviewing the progress of Saubhagya Yojana being implemented through MP Western Region Power Distribution Company, the governor said that efforts should be made to provide electricity to cent per cent villages. The governor took seriously the complaint of providing benefits to 10 ineligible persons during review of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana and issued instructions to submit report after investigation. She directed to hold camps for cancer, TB and diabetic patients.
The Governor said that Mandu is a historic and tourist city. Information about history of monuments and their importance should be given to tourists by displaying big boards, regarding monuments here. This will increase number of tourists. MLA Neena Vikram Verma, Kalu Singh and local public representatives were present in the meeting.

Governor Patel visited Bajbahadur Mahal, Rani Ruptamati Mahal, Rewa Kund, Eco Point, Sagar Talab, Jama Masjid, Hindola Mahal, Neel Kantheshwar, Jahaj Mahal and other monuments in Mandu on Tuesday and Wednesday. Patel also visited the Chaturbuj Ram temple and performed Pooja Archana.
Dialogue with Bagh print artists
The Governor interacted with Bagh print artists and self help group members, in Rupayan art galary in historical city Mandu of Dhar district on Tuesday. The governor inspected products prepared by Bagh print under national rural livelihood mission, Vanvasi Self Help Group Agar, Handloom and Handicraft, Valipur, national agriculture and rural development, Deepjyoti Handicraft, leather art, Charma Parisar Doodhi - Dhamnod. Smt Patel on the occasion, inspected tribal culture, silver jewellery costumes. Smt Koshare and Mena Patel, Kadippura gave detailed information to the Governor regarding tribal culture.-Window To News
