Bhopal: The 15th meeting of the Board of Directors of Jal Nigam was held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chouhan said at the meeting that the construction works of the scheme should be completed within the given time limit with the best quality. He instructed that constant vigilance of the works should be maintained. Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Kusum Mehdele and Chief Secretary B.P Singh were present at the meeting.
It was told during the meeting that 48 group water supply schemes are being implemented by the Jal Nigam out of which 16 schemes worth Rs one thousand 42 crore had been completed. With the completed schemes, about 9 lakh population of 694 villages are getting clean tap-water. About 32 group tap-water supply schemes worth more than total 3 thousand 59 crores are under construction. These schemes will benefit 30 lakh population of 2 thousand 478 villages.
During the meeting it was informed that 9 schemes worth total Rs 4 thousand 512 crore for 33 lakh people of 3 thousand 467 villages have been approved under N.D.B. Five schemes out of the approved projects are under construction while the remaining 4 projects are under tender process. The projects under construction include Satna-Bansagar, Pawai dam, Kundaliya, Mohanpura and Pahadgarh. Projects under tender process include Payali, Bayama, Kandela and Gadakota.-Window To News
