Datia to be Nagar Tehsil; Nagar Nigam standards to be implemented

Bhopal: Datia residents have welcomed the decision of the Cabinet to make Datia city a Nagar Tehsil. The citizens of Datia have expressed their gratitude for this decision to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra. The citizens said that now Datia will emerge greater and more developed.
The rest of the restructured tehsil in Datia will be Datia (Rural). As a result of this decision, the area of Datia town will increase and here the with the extension of the urban area the standards of Municipal Corporation will be applicable. The newly created tehsil will come into existence from the coming January 1, 2019.
It is worth noting that in the last ten years, Datia has been developing continuously. The all-round development of Datia has been ensured by the new Medical College, the New Collectorate building, the Journalism University premises, the airstrip, the Railway Overbridge and many other achievements.-Window To News
