Finance Minister dedicates synthetic, Hockey Astroturf ground
Bhopal: Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya has said that Damoh will be given a unique identity in the field of sports. A Sports Complex equipped with facilities for other sports also including lawn tennis, badminton court. will be built in Damoh in the coming time. Malaiya was addressing the dedication ceremony of the Synthetic, Hockey Astroturf ground constructed at Damoh at a cost of Rs.5 crore 20 lakhs on Tuesday. MLA Lakhan Patel and local public representatives were also present on this occasion.
Malaiya said that hockey has a golden history in Damoh as the city has produced international hockey players. Referring to the skill development programme, the Finance Minister said that youth will be given employment opportunities in the state. He informed that a skill development programme was started in Bhopal at a cost of Rs 300 crores with the support of Japan.
Damoh Cooperative Bank’s capital turns Rs 533 crore
In yet another programme of the Cooperative Bank, Finance Minister Malaiya said that the production of agriculture has gone up 5 times in Damoh districts. He said that agriculture loan is being provided to the farmers in the state at zero percent. In addition, the State government has given incentive amount under the Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana to give the farmers the right price for their produce. The Finance Minister said that the working capital of Damoh District Co-operative Central Bank has increased from Rs 300 crore to Rs 500 crore. Very soon the working capital of the bank will reach four digits.
