Show cause notices to absentee Chief Executive Officers

Rural development minister  Gopal Bhargava in video conference on MGNREGA 
 
Panchayat and rural development minister  Gopal Bhargava today issued instructions to serve show cause notices to chief executive officers of seven district panchayat for absence in video conference for review of MGNREGA works.  Bhargava said that officers should take interest in completion of MGNREGA related works otherwise strict action will be taken. He expressed displeasure over absence of chief executive officers of district panchayat, Singrauli, Tikamgarh, Rewa, Sidhi, Barwani, Morena and Vidisha.
 
Bhargava asked to execute Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme on priority basis. He said that priority should be given to construction of Moksha-Dham in all panchayats, community building, farm-road construction and road constructions on habitats.  Bhargava instructed to construct wells at farms of small farmers having two and half acre farm under Kapildhara scheme.  Bhargava asked to utilise cent percent budget of MGNREGA budget of the 14th finance to provide employment to more and more villagers. He said that performance for the service rolls will be decided on the basis of works under MGNREGA. Minister  Bhargava greeted chief executive officer of Ratlam and his team for 95 percent completion of MGNREGA related works and said that the district will be awarded.
 
Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development  Radheshyam Julania said that chief executive officers of all districts were told to complete muster rolls of Prime Minister Rural Housing Scheme by January 26 in video conference held on January 12. In review meeting, it was found that only ten percent work was completed so far. It is a serious irregularity. He instructed all districts to achieve the target.

Minister of state for Rural Development  Vishwas Sarang and officers of the department were present in the conference.
