Coaching Centers to Be Established to Prepare SC-ST Students for National Level Entrance Examinations

CM  Chouhan Insugurates State Level Leadership Development Camp 

Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that coaching centers will be established in the state to provide free coaching to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students in order to prepare them for the National Level Entrance Examinations. Moreover while identifying special games, the SC and ST students will be provided coaching of International standard besides sports goods. CM Chouhan was inaugurating the State Level Leadership Development Camp of Meritorious Students of SC and ST categories held here today.

CM  Chouhan said that ‘Mukhyamantri Vidushi’ Scheme will be started. Under the scheme 50 girls of most backward class of SC and ST categories will be selected from class 6. These girls will be provided free higher education beside all other facilities. Moreover, meritorious students attending state level leadership development camp will be taken for India tour from 2017-18. He further mentioned that most backward and poor tops in the priority of the state government. The state government has provided free books, scholarship, free cycles, hostels beside other better facilities for the education of the SC and ST students. Lap tops and smart phones will be provided to the students of these categories on securing 75 percent marks in class 12 examination and on getting admission in the colleges respectively. The state government has decided that the fee of these students will be borne by the state government on selection in I.I.Ts, I.I.Ms, National Law College and Medical through All India Competitive Examinations.

Present Era is Era of Knowledge

Chief Minister  Chouhan told the students that the present era is the era of knowledge. Direction can be given to the world through knowledge. For him, obtaining knowledge is the most important task. Swami Vivekanand has said that nothing is impossible for human beings. For this identify your capabilities and make efforts in the rightdirection. Examples of Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Ambedkar who had struggled with dearth are before us. Success is obtained by concentrating on target. Develop other qualities besides study. Personality develops from good conduct. Giving example of Gita,  Chouhan said to fight against injustice. We should prevent wrong doing. Do not hesitate to tell and implement good thoughts. Work with strong determination brings success. Participate in other activities beside studies. Move forward in every field and stay away from addiction. Conduct public awareness campaign towards de-addiction in your area.  Chouhan recollected the memories with reverence on the anniversary of Netaji Subhashchandra Bose.

Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar said that all the resources have been provided by the state government for the education of SC and ST students. Students of these categories have talents and capabilities to rise. Minister for SC, ST Welfare  Gyan Singh mentioned that remarkable works have been undertaken for the students of these categories. Three hundred fifty students of SC and ST categories have been selected in institutes like I.I.T., N.I.T. and I.I.M. The state government is committed for the welfare of these categories.

Meritorious Students Honoured With Awards

Chief Minister  Chouhan distributed Rani Durgavati, Shankar Shah and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar award to the meritorious students in the programme. A symbolic mobile tab was given to 3 students from the meritorious students of the primitive tribes. CM  Chouhan honoured karate players  Arjun Singh,  Sohan Singh and  Prashant Singh for displaying best in the national level sports competitions.  Sahebsingh Sahriya and Su Aarti Singh who are going to participate in Republic day parade were also honoured on the occasion.
It may be mentioned that the Leadership Development Camp is being organized by the SC, ST Welfare Department from January 23 to 29 every year. Two hundred thirty four meritorious students of SC, ST and primitive tribes of all the districts are participating in the camp. Also 47 players of different sports who have participated in the national level sports competition are taking part in the camp.

Welcome speech was given by the Principal Secretary SC, ST Development  Ashok Shah. Vote of thanks was given by the Commissioner SC, ST Development Smt. Deepali Rastogi. Chairman State Scheduled Caste Development Commission  Bhupendra Arya, Chairman State Kol Tribe Development Authority  Brijlal Kol and Director Scheduled Tribe Development  Kedar Sharma were present.
