Total One lakh 12 thousand 994 firearms deposited in police stations

Bhopal: The Chief Electoral Officer V.L. Kanta Rao has informed that since the model of conduct has come into effect, one lakh 12 thousand 994 firearms have been deposited in the police stations and 601 illegal firearms have been confiscated from October 6 to 13, 2018 to maintain law and order in the state. A total of 8 thousand 714 non-bailable warrants have been issued and prohibitory action has been taken against 18 thousand 336 people.
Under the Property defacement, 5 lakh 12 thousand 91 cases have been registered. Out of this, 4 lakh 5 thousand 74 cases of government property defacement and one lakh 7 thousand 17 cases of private property defacement have been registered. Action has been taken on total 4 lakh 81 thousand 505 registered cases including 3 lakh 89 thousand 903 cases of government property defacement and 91 thousand 602 cases of private property defacement.
