One lakh 90 thousand 621 firearms deposited in police stations

Bhopal: The Chief Electoral Officer V.L. Kanta Rao has informed that since the model code of conduct has come into effect, 13 thousand 557 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to 21, 2018 in order to maintain law and order in the state . One thousand 294 illegal firearms have been confiscated and one lakh 90 thousand 621 firearms have been deposited in the police stations. Also prohibitory action has been taken against 37 thousand 34 people in the state.
Under the property defacement, 11 lakh 94 thousand 922 cases have been registered and action has been taken in 11 lakh 59 thousand 758 cases. Under the government property defacement, action has been taken in 9 lakh 33 thousand 265 by registering 9 lakh 50 thousand 988 cases. Under the private property defacement, action has been taken in 2 lakh 26 thousand 493 cases against 2 lakh 43 thousand 934 registered cases.
