Over 17 lakh 38 thousand cases of property defacement registered

Bhopal: The Chief Electoral Officer V. L. Kanta Rao has informed that since the model code of conduct has come into effect, 37 thousand 181 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to November 11, 2018 to ensure law and order in the state. A total of 3 thousand 733 illegal firearms have been confiscated and 2 lakh 60 thousand 118 firearms have been deposited in the police stations during this period.
Under the property defacement, total 17 lakh 38 thousand 539 cases have been registered and action has been taken against 16 lakh 84 thousand 973 cases. A total of 13 lakh 11 thousand 538 cases of government property defacement have been registered and action has been taken in 12 lakh 77 thousand 896 cases. Similarly, 4 lakh 27 thousand 01 cases of private property defacement have been registered and action has been taken against 4 lakh 7 thousand 77 cases.
Moreover, 11 thousand 475 cases of misuse of vehicles have been registered during this period.-Window To News
