More than 2 lakh 61 thousand deposited in police stations in state

Bhopal: Chief Electoral Officer V. L. Kanta Rao has informed that after execution of the Model Code of Conduct, prohibitory action has been taken against 1 lakh 58 thousand 342 people for law and order system from October 6 to November 16, 2018. In the meantime, 46 thousand 355 non-bailable warrants were issued. In addition, 4 thousand 411 illegal weapons have been seized and 2 lakh 61 thousand 572 weapons have been deposited in the police stations.
Under property defacement, 18 lakh 32 thousand 383 cases have been registered out of which action has been taken in 17 lakh 78 thousand 178 cases. Action has been taken in 13 lakh 32 thousand 615 cases by registering 13 lakh 66 thousand 761 cases under government property defacement. Under private property defacement, 4 lakh 65 thousand 622 cases were registered and action has been taken in 4 lakh 45 thousand 563 cases. During this period, 12 thousand 925 cases have been registered for the misuse of vehicles.-Window To News
