Bhopal: Chief Electoral Officer V. L. Kanta Rao has said that after execution of the Model Code of Conduct, prohibitory action has been taken against 1 lakh 61 thousand 661 persons for law and security arrangement from October 6 to November 17, 2018 in the state. In the same period, 47 thousand 580 non-bailable warrants have been issued. In addition, 4 thousand 507 illegal weapons have been seized and 2 lakh 61 thousand 576 weapons have been deposited in the police stations.
As many as 18 lakh 53 thousand 437 cases have been registered for Property Defacement out of these action has been taken in 17 lakh 98 thousand 567 cases. Similarly, action has been taken in 13 lakh 44 thousand 691 cases by registering 13 lakh 79 thousand 497 cases under Government Property Defacement. In addition, 4 lakh 73 thousand 940 cases were registered under Private Property Defacement while action has been taken in 4 lakh 53 thousand 876 cases. In the meantime, 13 thousand 175 cases have been registered for misuse of vehicles.-Window To News
