Agriculture Department makes situation on availability of fertilizers in November clear

Bhopal: In view of the speculations spreading in a few places regarding availability of fertilizers in Rabi season in the state, the Agriculture Department has made the situation of fertilizer availability clear. A rakewise programme was issued to all fertilizer suppliers for the next 7 days in the state.
Fertilizer availability is being ensured while computing the consumption of 25 percent more quantity than the month of November last year. This order has been given for the rake movement of urea on priority, keeping in view the requirement of urea of the current Rabi season by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Fertilizers, Government of India, New Delhi.
The availability of 5 lakh metric tonne urea has been ensured against urea availability of 3.50 lakh metric tonnes in the state for the month of November. So far, 2 lakh 75 thousand metric tonnes of urea has arrived in the state in November and about 2 lakh 25 thousand metric tonnes more of urea is expected to arrive.
All companies have been given the priority of urea supply in the state by the Government of India. Railway has also ordered prioritizing urea companies to bring imported urea kept on ports to the state. At present, three rakes of urea in Harda, two each in Mangliya, Itarsi and satna, one rake each Chhindwada, Khandwa, Sehore, Betul, Sagar, Ratlam and Morena are in transit.
Arrangement of transportation of 2.5 lakh MT urea in the next 10 days
Instructions have been given to the fertilizer companies by the Agriculture Department to bring the urea rakes on the following rake points in the coming days. 04 rakes for Ujjain, 03 for Shajapur, 03 for Neemuch (for Neemuch and Mandsaur), 04 in Dewas, 06 in Indore (for Indore, Dhar an Khargone), 02 in Meghnagar (Jhabua, Alirajpur), 04 for Khandwa (Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur) 03 for Harda, 03 for Vidisha, 01 for Bhopal, 02 for Sehore, 04 for Mandideep (Raisen, Sehore), 03 for Pachore (Rajgarh), 06 for Itarsi (Hoshangabad), 02 for Pipariya (for Hoshangabad), 02 for Betul, 02 for Chhatarpur, 02 for Damoh, 01 for Tikamgarh, 03 for Satna (Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli), 02 for Rewa (Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli), 03 for Sagar, 02 for Narsinghpur, 04 for Jabalpur (Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori), 03 for Katni (Katni, Panna, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur), 03 for Chhindwada (Chhindwada, Seoni), 01 for Dabra (Gwalior, Datia), 03 for Gwalior (Gwalior, Datia, Bhind), 04 for Shivpuri (Shivpuri, Sheopur, AShoknagar), 01 for Ashoknagar, 04 for Morena (Morena, Bhind).
According to the Department of Co-operatives, arrangement has been made for display of information related to transport and availability of urea in every society with effect from today. Co-operative societies have been directed to display day-to-day information regarding the availability of fertlizers. Fertilizers are being distributed smoothly by cooperative primary agricultural credit societies and marketing committees. In addition to this, the availability of fertilizers in the state has been ensured through the private sector distribution system also. About 10 to 15 percent more from the consumption of fertilizers distributed for Rabi by this time till last year has been arranged.-Window To News
