Plastic-made lamps wont be lit on Narmada Jayanti

Bhopal : Kund to be filled with Narmada water to be placed for immersion at all Ghats

As per wishes of Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Economic and Statistics  Deepak Khandekar has asked district collectors of Anooppur, Mandala, Seoni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Sehore, Raisen, Harda, Dewas, Khandwa, Barwani, Dhar, Alirajpur, Dindori and Khargone to maintain cleanliness in the Narmada river, Kund filled with Narmada water and pots should be placed mandatorily for immersion and garbage dumping. Publicize lamps to be made of flour on the leaves on the place of lamps made of plastic.

Participants to be awarded

Bhajan teams securing first three positions in Narmada Bhajan competition will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 50,000, 30,000 and 20,000 respectively at district level on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti. First three winners in other competitions will be given Rs 5000, 3000 and Rs 2000.

Nodal officers to be appointed for cleanliness

Nodal officers will be deputed for cleanliness in the districts where Seva Yatra is passing through in villages, town and urban areas. Collectors will ensure execution of the resolutions administered for the Chief Minister in Jan Samvad programme and submit detail report after the yatra passed through to the state government. The Chief Minister will review Narmada yatra through video conference on January 30.
