Over 3 crore 42 lakh photo voter slips and more than 53 lakh voters guides distributed

Bhopal: As per the directive of the Election Commission of India, photo voter slips have been distributed by the BLO (Booth Level Officers) from door –to-door to 3 crore 42 lakh 42 thousand 211 voters belonging to one crore 25 lakh families before the Vidhan Sabha Election, 2018. In addition to this 53 lakh 47 thousand 323 voter guides has been distributed.
The Voters Guide was released on November 14, 2018 by the Election Commission of India. Detailed information has been given regarding how to vote and what would the approved identity records before voting in the voter guide to make voters aware so that they get a better understanding of the electoral process. The voter guide also informs the voter on the process of voting through E.V.M. VVPAT. Information about ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ near and around the polling booth has also been given in the guide.
The Voter Guide informs the voter about the basic facilities available at the polling booths. Also, information about the Chief Electoral Officer's website and helpline along with other important numbers and portal has been given in the guide.
The voter guide gives information on the website and portal about the procedure to search for one’s name in the voters’ list and identify one’s polling booth in order to make the voter aware.-Window To News
