Distribution of Voter ID Cards in Braille language to handicapped voters

Bhopal: In order to ensure active and productive participation of handicapped voters, according to the directives of the Election Commission of India, voter identity cards in Braille language have been prepared first time in the state. The identity cards in Braille language along with the normal photo voter slips are being distributed by the District Election Officers among the visually impaired voters who read the Braille language.
The Braille voter identity card contains information about the voter on one side similar to the photo voter identity card and on the other side it has information about the number and name of the assembly constituency, number and address of polling centre, name of voter and his/her father in Braille language.-Window To News
