Update on voting percentage to be given every hour on polling day: CEO

Bhopal: A mobile app ‘Mat %’ has been prepared by the Chief Electoral Officer in order to provide information regarding voting percentage of polling centers to common man in Vidhan Sabha Election-2018. The app will be used by the presiding officer, election officer no. 1 and sector officer. People are required to login their mobiles by downloading the app from the play store of android phone. Mapping of mobile numbers of each presiding officer/election officer no. 1 will be done with their respective polling centre. In this manner, the above mentioned app can be used by the registered mobile number for each polling centre.
On the day of polling, statistical information of males and females voters will be registered and send each hour after the beginning of polling at 9.00 a.m., 10.00 a.m., 11.00 a.m., 12 noon, 1.00 p.m. 2 p.m., 3.00 p.m., 4 and 5.00 p.m. finally by the concerned presiding officer/ election officer no.1 or sector magistrate for their respective polling centers, which will be accumulated on the server situated at Bhopal Headquarters. This information will be displayed in voting percentage at the prominent places.
Normally, the mobile app will work in the online mode but in case of non-availability of internet network, the registered data on mobile app can be accumulated on the server situated at Bhopal Headquarters by offline mode through SMS service. In this way, the updated information from all the polling centers will be received and mobile app will prove useful in apprising common man with election update from time to time.-Window To News
