Travelling expenses on aircraft and helicopter to be included in candidate’s account

Bhopal: The Joint Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Kaul has informed that according to the Representation of the People Act any expenditure incurred after voting and before the date of counting will be considered as election expenditure. This will be shown by candidate in his/her account.
After the date of voting expenditure incurred on travelling of star campaigner or candidate will not be included in any candidate’s account but if any star campaigner or candidate go to the constituency from where he/she contested election on the day of voting or before that to inspect counting arrangements then traveling expenditure incurred inside the constituency will be included in his/her account. Expenditure incurred on travelling outside the constituency will not be included in his/her account. If the traveling expenditure of the star campaigner, outside the election constituency is being borne by the political party then this expenditure will be presented by the political party within 75 days from the end of election to the Commission.-Window To News
