Expenditure of barricades and stage etc. to be included in candidate’s account

Bhopal: The Joint Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Kaul has informed that if any political leader campaigns in favour of any candidate leaving aside party’s campaigning then expenditure incurred on that programme will be included in the account of that candidate. Keeping in view the security, arrangements like barricades or stage etc. is made by the government agencies for programmes organized by parties and organizers then expenditure incurred on the programme will be included in account of candidate contesting election from that assembly constituency. If any candidate of other constituency is included in that programme then expenditure will be divided equally. District Election Officer will inform about the expenditure incurred by the government agencies on barricades or stage etc. to the candidate within 3 days, which will be included in his/her account.
When the candidate, political leader or organizer make arrangement for the stage or barricade on their own expense then the amount will be displayed in the account of the candidate present in the programme. This amount will be verified by the nominated officer. Where stage etc. are constructed by the government agencies, in such circumstances the estimated amount will be deposited by the candidate, political leader or organizer in advance.-Window To News
