CM Chouhan Urges Citizens in Republic Day Celebration Programme
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged the people of the state to cooperate in building Madhya Pradesh a prosperous and cultured state. He told the citizens to administer pledge to plant one sapling in an year, to make one child malnutrition free, to teach one and to make one person addiction free. Chouhan was addressing the Republic Day Programme in the capital. He made announcements regarding complete ban on use of polythene bags from May 1, to make Cash-less transactions Mission, people’s awakening for provision of stringent punishment for criminals of heinous crimes and to administer pledge to people to make the state free of addiction.
All the Cities will be made Free of Open Defecation
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the dream cherished since independence of the country to make country prosperous and grand is being realised now in the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Corruption, terrorism and black money have been hit decisively. New environment has been created in the country by Make in India, Start Up India and Swachcha Bharat like campaigns. Madhya Pradesh is playing an important role in this. All the cities of the state will be free from open defecation till March 31. In order to encourage cashless transactions, connectivity will be expanded. Electricity poles will be utilised to lay lines. To eradicate the doubts of cashless transactions, suggestion on transaction insurance has been given to the union government.
Law to be enacted to Provide Land for Housing
Referring about the 100th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayaya, Chouhan said that the state government is working considering public as lord. Income generated from the taxes is being spent on the welfare of poor. Law will be enacted in the next budget session to provide land for housing to the houseless persons. Every poor individual will have house till 2022.
Fee Will Be Borne By State Government After Getting Admissions in Prestigious Institutions
Chouhan said that in order to encourage education beside free education, uniforms, cycles, and scholarships are being given till class 12. Fee will be borne by the state government of those students who secure over 85 percent marks in 12th Board examination and get selected in the identified prestigious institutions for higher education of medical, engineering , management and law courses. Also fee will be paid by the state government for those who obtain less than this percentage if they get selected in the mentioned institutions. They will have to return the amount of the fee after the education.
Red Gram will be procured on Support Price
CM Chouhan said that an ideal model is being developed of overall activities of agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry to make agriculture a profitable occupation. Proper support will be provided to the farmers whose Rabi crops were affected with cold. Also split red gram will be procured on support price. Work to spread network of cottage and village industries is being undertaken besides encouraging food processing industry. This year swa-rozgar will be provided to 7 lakh 50 thousand persons and 7 lakh 50 thousand people will be made skilled. He further mentioned that action will be taken on war footing to provide better facilities in the hospitals of the state. He informed that a special campaign will be conducted for government district hospitals.
10 Lakh People will be benefited in Single Day on February 8
CM Chouhan said that the state is committed for women empowerment. Fifty percent reservation to women on teachers’ posts and 33 percent reservation for women in remaining departments except forest department have been given. Women self help groups will be made more powerful. Efforts are being made to provide water through pipelines in the rural areas. He urged the panchayat office bearers to come forward together with the government to give new dimension to the development of rural areas. He informed that around 10 lakh individuals are being benefited by the government schemes under the Nagar uday abhiyan. Probably first time in the country such a large number of people will be benefited together on February 8. A sum of Rs. 83 thousand crore will be spent on construction works of Smart City in the next 5 years.
Mile Banche Madhya Pradesh on February 18
Chouhan informed that Hanuvantiya Water festival was organised to make efforts to generate employment through tourism. During the month long festival, 5 lakh tourists joined the festival. These kinds of activities will be conducted in other water bodies too. He said that ‘Mile Banche Madhya Pradesh’ programme will be organised on February 18. Efforts will be made with public participation to improve children’s knowledge. He urged all the teachers to spend time with the children in schools and to make the campaign successful.
‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Campaign to Conserve Environment and River
Mentioning about the ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Seva Yatra, Chouhan said that the forest located on the banks of river Narmada will be revived by undertaking fruits plantation in the radius of one kilometre on the banks of Narmada River. Changing rooms for women will be constructed on ghats. Immersion kunds and muktidhams will be constructed besides plants are being installed to treat sewage water for its use in farming activities. An amount of Rs. 20 thousand per hectare will be provided to the farmers for undertaking fruits plantation. Pits will also be dug. Liquor shops will not be opened in 5 kilometer radius of Narmada banks. No new liquor shops will be opened in state now and no liquor factory will be established in the state.
Alp Viram Programme to be Organised
Chouhan mentioned that efforts for good governance are being carried out in the state speedily. Arrangements of Public Service Guarantee Act, e-tender payment arrangements beside CM helpline arrangements have been made. He informed that sense of joy is must in the life. Therefore, Anand department has been formed. Under this programmes are being organised from January 14 to 21 and positive results have been obtained in these programmes. Moreover Anandam centers have been opened in 51 districts for donation to derive pleasure of giving. Alp Viram programme will be started soon to derive pleasure by stopping thoughts of the mechanised life.
CM Chouhan hoisted the National Flag and inspected the parade in the Republic Day programme. He watched the march past and enchanting cultural programmes presented by the school students beside 18 tableaux displayed by the departments. Tableaux on Maa Narmada and development of the state were exhibited on the occasion.
Pays Tribute to Martyrs Visiting Shaurya Smarak
