“Namami Devi Narmade”-Seva Yatra started with an objective to generate awareness for conservation of natural resources is getting success in attracting attention of all the sections of the society. The Narmada yatra has been started with an important message to bring happiness, prosperity and progress in public life and to engross the Indian culture once again in their daily life. The Narmada yatra reached village Kharadna of Harda the 8th district on its way.

Thinkers, Social Activists and Public Representatives said that the yatra is linking people with the culture. Villagers were explained that cleanliness is possible by self determination and will power. There is no need to bring rules and regulations for this. Culture of sanitation will stop us from open defecation and will inspire us to immerse poojan material in kunds.

An elderly person  Ratna Ji and  Ramesh of village Ratatalai told that they have full reverence towards Maa Narmada since earlier but this yatra has given us a message to keep our villages and Maa Narmada clean.  Bhagwan Singh Rajput has come from village Deep Gaon located at 75 kilometer distance to participate in the yatra. He is riding a motorcycle carrying all poojan material beside toffees for girls.

‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Yatra is getting success in generating a feeling among the people that they have hindered their prosperity by indiscriminate deforestation and by releasing sewage in the rivers. The common citizens are now seen committed and fully prepared to conserve river, forest and its animals getting inspiration from the yatra.
