After counting, EVMs and VVPATs will be sealed and deposited in the strong room

Bhopal: After counting, EVMs and VVPATs will be re-sealed as per the Commission's instructions. All machines will be kept the boxes and re-sealed. Returning officers and Central observers will seal with their signatures and all the candidates and election agents will also be allowed to put their signatures along with stamps.
After counting of votes, EVMs (with battery) and VVPATs (with VVPAT slip, paper roll and battery) will be kept in the strong room.
All machines will be kept in the Strong Room till the completion of the period of filing of election petition and till the receipt of the election petition from the concerned Honorable High Court. The duration of the filing of the election petition is 45 days from the date of declaration of the result.-Window To News
