Tiger leaves for Sanjay Tiger Reserve from Kanha

7 tigers given by Kanha’s Ghorela Bagh bada to other tiger reserves
Bhopal: The Kanha Tiger Reserve Management has sent tiger to Sanjay Tiger Reserve, Sidhi today, which has been brought up for the last 3 years approximately at Ghorela Bagh enclosure made especially in Mukki circle . This tiger was rescued and brought to the enclosure as an orphan cub 3 years ago. The tiger has been sent to the Sanjay Tiger Reserve after the successful re-wilding of the tiger.
It may be mentioned that 7 tigers have already been sent from the Ghorela Tiger Enclosure to the Panna Tiger Reserve, Nourdehi sanctuary, Kanha Tiger Reserve, Satpura Tiger Reserve ans Sanjay Tiger Reserve since 2005. Tigers of this enclosure have contributed greatly in increasing tiger’s population by reaching other tiger reserves.
The entire activity of translocation was carried out under the guidance of Circle Director L. Krishnamurty. The wild life doctors and officers of the Kanha, Pench and Sanjay Tiger Reserve carefully tranquilized the tiger and took the blood sample after recording the physical measurements. The tiger was sent under the supervision of the forest officers and doctors. The Circle Director of Sanjay Tiger Reserve Vincent Rahim, Deputy Director Anjana Suchita Tirki and Sandeep Agrawal were also present at that time.-Window To News
