Bhopal: This Dialogue of Sukharmiya Silences All
Devotion and faith towards Yatra is getting firm continuously during the “Namami Devi Narmade”-Seva Yatra. Intention of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that not only Narmada will be made free of pollution but will be protected is seems to be fulfilled. Incident took place during the yatra is the indication towards this.
Such an incident took place during the ‘Namami Devi Narmade’–Seva Yatra being conducted in Harda district when a thorn pricked in the foot of 76 years old Sevakram, a resident of Anuppur district. On this incident one person sarcastically said that Dada, it seems that yatra is proving costly for you. A 65 years old lady named Sukharmiya resident of Dindori, accompanying Sevakram while removing thorn from his foot said that “Narmada Parkamma Ki Qeemat Tum Kya Jano Babuji”. Hearing this sentence everyone became silent. She further said that “Narmada Hamari Mata Hai Aur Iske Liye Hum Kuchh Bhi Sehne Ko Taiyyar Hain”.
This incident has proved that people are obsessed to make Narmada River pure. They are also aware now that the condition of Narmada has worsened and it is not like as before. They are committed now to make Narmada River pure and clean again.
