Madhya Pradesh gets letter of appreciation for best works in immunisation

Bhopal: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a letter of appreciation to Madhya Pradesh for best poster presentation in routine immunization. Madhya Pradesh had given a poster presentation of ‘Concrete Monitoring through RI Monitors in Routine Immunisation in the 5th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Care System held at Kaziranga of Assam from October 30 to November 1, 2018.
Central government, World Health Organisation, UNICEF and UNDP have also lauded the efforts made by Madhya Pradesh in this direction. An innovation was made for improvements in immunization in Madhya Pradesh, in which 160 out of 500 B.Sc pass MPW (Male Health Workers) were selected after written and oral examination. This experiment is one of its kind in the country.
These MPWs were given GPS based high-tech training, which led to a big jump of 26 percent in immunizations in the state. The MPWs were also sent to other villages for selection of Panchayat award in immunisation.-Window To News
