Constant supply of urea rakes by Railways
Bhopal: Continuous efforts are being made by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department to supply urea as per requirement to the farmers during the Rabi Season in the state. So far, 2 lakh metric tonnes of urea has been distributed to the farmers in the state. About 45 thousand metric tonnes of urea will reach the rake points of the state in a day or two. Instructions have been given to the field staff of the Agriculture and Cooperatives Department for its distribution. In addition to this, 76 thousand metric tonnes of DAP, 6000 metric tonne Complex has been supplied to the farmers during the Rabi season. This time, consent of supply of 4 lakh 10 thousand metric tonnes of urea has been given by the Central Ministry in the state.
Very soon 1226 metric tonne urea is going to reach Mandideep rake point. Arrangement is being made for distribution to the farmers of Raisen, Bhopal and Sehore. Similarly, 4048 metric tonnes of urea is reaching Ratlam rake point. It will be distributed to farmers of Ratlam, Dhar, Mandsaur and Ujjain districts.
Chambal Fertilizer Plant of Kota and National Fertilizer Plant of Guna have also given their consent to supply urea on priority to Madhya Pradesh. This will further accelerate the supply of urea in the coming days.
