Bhopal: CM Chouhan Addresses Programme through Mobile at Girgaon
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that every possible effort will be made to provide assistance to the hailstorm affected farmers. Government is with the farmers in this difficult time. Survey of damaged crops is being made visiting agriculture fields by the teams formed by the Minister of State for General Administration Lalsingh Arya and District Administration. Assistance will be provided to the affected farmers as per the survey. Also assistance will be provided to the farmers against the insured crops under the Pradhanmantri Crop Insurance Scheme.
CM Chouhan was addressing the programme organised at village Girgaon of Gohad of district Bhind through mobile of Minister of State Arya today. Former MLA Rakesh Singh Kushwaha, farmers and villagers were present on the occasion.
MoS Lalsingh Arya said that hailstorm affected villages are being visited since last three days. Action has been initiated to survey the crops of the affected farmers in the fields. Teams formed by the Collector are surveying the damage to the crops of the affected farmers. He informed that the Chief Minister could not attend the programme because of some technical problems with the helicopter.
MoS Arya further said that the applications of the farmers will be considered through the concerned departments. He said that action has been taken to provide assistance through insurance companies for the affected farmers who have insured their crops under the Pradhanmantri Crop Insurance Scheme.
