Survey of six districts facing loss due to cold wave in state begins

Bhopal: The state is facing influence of cold wave these days. There is also a possibility of being frost in the coming days. The Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Development Department has written to the Revenue Department to conduct survey under RBC 6-4 of the damage done to Rabi crops.
The Farmer-Welfare Department has informed that the order of survey of the losses to crops in their districts has been given to concerned tehsildars by the Collectors of Neemuch, Burhanpur, Vidisha, Dhar, Dewas and Indore districts. The Agriculture Department has conducted initial survey of areas affected by 10 percent, 11 to 30 percent and more than 30 percent. Crops of gram, masoor, peas, arhar and horticulture crops have faced maximum loss. In some areas, wheat crops have also been affected. The field officers of Agriculture Department has been told to maintain constant contact with the farmers and give them timely advice.-Window To News
