Bhoomi-pujan and dedication of works of police department in Chhindwara by CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that our country is a country of diversities. Its beauty is that people with different attires, languages, rituals live together with unity under the country's flag. This is a big challenge. This is possible only when there is unity among the various institutional units of the country. It is the responsibility of the police to maintain unity in these units and keep them strong. He said that the police officers should maintain the respect of their uniform. The Chief Minister was addressing the dedication ceremony of various construction works of the Police Deparrtment. He dedicated the newly-constructed Administrative Building, Rakshit Kendra, CCTV control room and the administrtaive-cum-training building of the Eighth Corps of Special Armed Forces through the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation and performed bhoomi-pujan of the establishment of roof-top solar power plants at a cost of Rs 69 lakhs with 115 KW capacity in seven buildings of the Police Department in Chhindwara district through the Department of New and Renewable Energy.

Chief Minister Nath said that the time today is of new technology. This is a changing phase. The country's police will also have to adopt new technology. It has to become capable in it. The full strength of the police department is dependent on new technology. He said that it is the responsibility of the police to see how laws, rules and regulations can be used for poor and weaker sections. The Police should become the Protectors of society and become social servants, which is their supreme duty. Nath said that Police Department is very important. There is need that the department’s will power remains strong. He launched the website “Citizen Co-app” prepared by the Police Department. This will ensure direct participation of the general public with the Police and the Police will be able to work comparatively faster for women’s security, incidents of theft, road mishaps etc.
Meritorious students of policemen awarded
The Chief Minister presented cheques of Rs 25 thousand each and certificates to meritorious students children of employees of the Police Department on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation Arushi Usrethe, Rahul Tiwari, Sonali Daheria, Kamaksha Verma, Abhishek Sanodia, Ayush Baghel, Oshin Dongre and Deepa Markam. He also presented an electronic E.C.G. machine for the newly-constructed hospital of Eighth Corps of Special Armed Forces.
On this occasion, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation and Director General of Police V.K. Singh gave information about the work and achievements of the Corporation and the Police Department. Managing Director Sanjay Rana presented a memento to the Chief Minister. The programme was attended by MLAs Sarvashri Deepak Saxena, Sohanlal Walmiki, Sunil Uike and Nilesh Uike, Divisional Commissioner Ashutosh Awasthi, Director General of Police Anant Kumar Singh and other senior officers and dignitaries.-Window To News
