Bhopal: Urban Development and Housing Minister Jayvardhan Singh has asked to give report of Gammon India project and prepare a residential plan at the Nagar Panchayat level. He has also issued instructions to make roads being constructed under master plan under the T.D.R. (Transferable Development Right) policy. Singh said that the responsibility of fulfilling the dreams of the common people is on the Housing Board. Therefore, pay special attention to the quality of construction, do not make any compromise in it. Singh was reviewing the work of Madhya Pradesh Housing Construction and Infrastructure Development Board and the Capital Project Administration at the Mantralaya today.
Minister Jayvardhan Singh said that he should be apprised about the entire status in connection with the delay in the Gammon project. He said that he will see the whole presentation in this regard. He told to make housing schemes in cities as well as in the towns, so that the income of the Board increased. The Housing Minister said that the Housing Board should also move ahead in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In this connection, he told to prepare the proposal on which a discussion will be held with the Chief Minister and efforts will be made to connect the Board with it. Singh laid stress on the need for more work in the field of infrastructure by the Board. Information about the reconstruction of old colonies of the Housing Board was given at the meeting.
Singh also reviewed the works of the Capital Project Administration. He told to prepare Transferable Development Rights policy to give pace to the roads constructed under the master plan. So that the work can be completed soon and the traffic of the cities could be made easy.
The Housing Minister also called for coordination between the agencies engaged in road construction in urban areas.
Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Pramod Agarwal, Housing Board Commissioner Ravindra Singh and Jawahar Singh of the Capital Project Administration were present in the meeting.-Window To News
