Bhopal: Supply of urea in the state is going on. Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Department has instructed collectors and departmental officials to keep a close watch on the urea distribution system. About 48 thousand metric tonnes of urea will be reaching 17 rake points in the next two days that is January 8 and 9. In the Rabi season, 11 lakh 15 thousand metric tonnes of urea has been made available to the farmers till December 31, 2018. About 29 rakes of urea has been delivered at different places till January 7 this year.

To prevent black marketing of urea in the state, a District Fertilizer Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Collector in each district. These committees are constantly monitoring the distribution of other fertilizers including urea. The committee is conducting surprise checks on the distribution centers including stock of fertilizer dealers.-Window To News
