Strict action will be taken against illegal mining, transportation

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said in stern words that strict action should be taken in illegal mining and transportation cases. He congratulated district officers who took stern action against recent illegal activities and alerted other district that they should take stern and decisive action against cases of illegal mining and transport with full force. Mafia should not be allowed to thrive. Chouhan was holding a discussion with the administrative and police officials at a video conference in the Mantralaya here on Monday. He also reviewed the 'Mil-Banche Madhya Pradesh' and Narmada Seva Yatra during the meeting. Chief Secretary BP Singh and members of the state cabinet were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a mining task force has been constituted in every district for a check on illegal mining and transport. The force should take legalized and stern action on a pre planned strategy at every level. The vehicles involved in illegal mining and transport should be confiscated. He said mining is a source of financial resources for employment and development works. Hence it is also important that legal mining and transport work should not be hampered. Those who are engaged in legal mining work should not be put in trouble. He also issued instructions to launch an Anti-Goonda Campaign.
Chief Minister Chouhan has expressed the need to make the public wide efforts to make education- a public movement. He said that the 'Mil-Banche Madhya Pradesh' programme on February 18 was being organized to improve the knowledge of language of students up to Class VIII. On this day representatives of all classes of the society should visit all one lakh 18 thousand schools of the state. He issued instructions to complete the work of school-wise registration by February 10. He also congratulated Mandla district for having completed 95 per cent registration work. He instructed officials of the State All India Services officers to take part in the programme.

Effective Celebrations of Narmada Jayanti
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Narmada Jayanti is a time of test of resolution of Namami Devi Narmade Yatra. The Jayanti programme should be an effective medium for conservation of the river and making it pollution free. Devotional songs, essay competitions, speech and painting competitions on Narmada Mahima, Conservation, Beti Bachao, Tree Plantation and De-addiction should be organized at the banks of the River Narmada. The winners of the Bhajan contest be given cash prizes of Rs. 50,000 as first prize, Rs. 30,000 as second prize and Rs. 20,000 as third prize. In the Speech, essay writing contest and painting contest, the first, second and third prize winners would be given Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 2000 respectively. He also issued instructions to the district to be benefited by the Narmada River to take out up yatras.
He said special care should be taken to provide clean and pollution-free arrangements during the jayanti celebrations. The material used for the puja should be immersed in the ‘Kund’ which should be constructed as and when need arises. The pujan material should not contain items that may spread pollution. The Ghat should be clean. Plastic ‘diyas’ should not be used. Adequate and proper arrangements of dustbins and toilets should be ensured. He issued instructions to follow all resolutions during the yatra.
