PWD Minister Verma issues directives at Video Coneferencing
Bhopal: Minister for Public Works Sajjan Singh Verma instructed officers of the department that all the ongoing constructions in the state should be completed within the stipulated time. Delay in construction works will not be tolerated. Minister Verma was holding discussions with the officers through video conferencing in Bhopal today. The Principal Secretary, Public Works Mohammad Suleman was also present on this occasion.
Minister Verma mentioned that officer should not compromise quality of any king in construction works. He gave instructions to work according to the promises made in the manifesto. Information was given on the status of ongoing road and building construction works in the state. Verma instructed them to accelerate speed in the ongoing construction works of Satna and Shadol district.
It was informed at the meeting that approval in principal has been given under the Bharat Mala Scheme of the Union Government for construction of 5,987 k.m. long National Highways as suggested by the State Government. These roads will be constructed as four lane roads by the NHAI. Construction of Jabalpur bypass, Sagar bypass, Gwalior bypass and Orchcha bypass are included under these schemes. Under the same scheme, approval in principal has also been granted to the construction of Bhopal-Indore 5 Lane Express Way and Bhopal bypass (South-West Part). The estimated cost of this express highway is Rs. 4 thousand crore and DPR work in this connection is in progress. Verma reviewed the status of division wise construction works.
Inspects Bhopal-Jabalpur Road
PWD Minister Verma, while going towards Mandideep today inspected Bhopal-Jabalpur State Highway No.12. It was informed during the inspection that construction work of approximately 49 k.m roads with an estimated cost of Rs. 530 crore from Misrod to Obaidullaganj is being carried out by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation. This work will be completed by March 2020 to make the traffic movement passing through Mandideep in more comfortable and convenient manner.-Window To News
