PWD works should be on the lines of Chhindwara Development Model

Public Works Minister Verma reviews departmental works
Bhopal: Public Works Minister Sajjan Singh Verma has said that the Chhindwara development model has made a distinct identity throughout the country. The works of Public Works Department in the state should be done on the same lines. These tasks should be started on time and completed with quality. Minister Verma was addressing a meeting of departmental officials in Chhindwara today. MLAs Deepak Saxena, Sohan Walmik, Vijay Choure, Nilesh Uike and Sujit Chaudhary were also present in the meeting.
Minister Verma said that works of the department should be done for the benefit of maximum number of people. He said that the credibility of the department will increase with good quality work. Verma issued instructions to pay special attention to plantation around construction works. He directed to upgrade all the departmental rest houses of the district and to ensure road construction of about 50 kms in the Western Coal Ltd. region from Parasia to Nahariya.
Negligence will not be tolerated
Public Works Minister Verma told the officials that in this environment of change, negligence in construction work will not be tolerated. Immediate investigations will be done against the guilty officials and strict action will be taken. Chief Engineer Public Works Akhilesh Agarwal was also present in the meeting.
Inspection conducted in various organizations
First and foremost Verma performed puja-archana at Hanuman temple Simariya at Chhindwara. After this he inspected the buildings of Ashok Leyland, CII, ATDC, FDDI, IL & FS and under construction medical college building. He said that just like employment-oriented training institute has been arranged in Chhindwara, similar institutions will be prepared all over the state.-Window To News
