Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Issues directive
Bhopal: Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Sachin Yadav has directed concerned officials to provide the amount of increased grant on tractors, power driller, seed-drill, plough, reeper, thresher, paddy transplanter and other agriculture equipments to the farmers.
It may be noted that previously the general farmer was given 40 percent grant maximum Rs 25 thousand under the Submission on Agriculture Machinery Scheme and 50 percent garnt maximum Rs 30 thousand to the farmers of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. Now, 40 percent grant of the actual value of agricultural equipments will be given to the big farmers while the small, marginal, women, SC and ST category farmers will be given 50 percent of the actual value.
Agriculture Minister Yadav told that farmers will now be given grants on large agricultural machines like combine harvester and straw management system (SMS) also. Till now the farmers of the state were dependent on resources of other states to reap harvest. Now the people of the state will get employment and bad practices like burning narwai will also be under control.-Window To News
